Your Phone Doesn't Die Overnight. Neither Does Your Body.
Have you ever noticed how your phone battery changes over time?
When it's brand new, you hardly think about it.
You charge it overnight.
It lasts all day.
No stress.
Then, little by little, things change.
By lunchtime you're down to 50%.
You start carrying a charger.
You close apps to save battery.
You turn on Low Power Mode.
You adapt.
Eventually, those little adjustments become normal.
Funny enough...
That's exactly what happens with our bodies.
You don't wake up one morning and suddenly struggle to play 18 holes of golf.
You don't instantly lose the ability to lift your grandkids.
You don't go from feeling great to feeling worn out overnight.
It happens slowly.
You take the elevator instead of the stairs.
You park a little closer.
You skip the evening walk because you're tired.
You think twice before signing up for the pickleball tournament.
You tell yourself,
"I'm just being smart."
Maybe.
Or maybe...
You've been putting your body into Low Power Mode.
Not because it's incapable.
Because it's learned to conserve what little battery it feels like it has left.
Here's the good news.
Your phone battery wears out.
Your body can adapt in the opposite direction.
It can become stronger.
More resilient.
More confident.
More capable.
But just like your phone won't recharge itself without plugging it in, your body won't build capacity without giving it the opportunity to.
Movement.
Strength.
Recovery.
Consistency.
Those are the things that recharge your body over time.
So here's a question worth asking yourself...
Are you living life at 100%... or have you gotten so used to Low Power Mode that it feels normal?
Sometimes the biggest change isn't getting rid of pain.
It's realizing how much more your body is capable of when you stop asking it to simply get by.
To better movement,
